Chi Epsilon Pi: In the Spring of 2024, I was inducted into Chi Epsilon Pi, the Pennsylvania State University chapter of the national meteorology honor society. Its members are graduate and undergraduate students, faculty, and staff. The purpose of the society is twofold: to serve as a means for awarding distinction to students who have high scholastic ability and promise of achievement in meteorology and to promote student interest in advanced study of meteorology and related sciences.

Weather Industrial Report written for a fictional supermarket owner to help the store prepare for a potential upcoming winter storm.  The report included a weather index to help the owner make business decisions regarding advertising, inventory and pricing.

Hurricane Sherlock Post Mortem composed as a summary of an in-class group simulation of an emergency management situation where my role was as mayor leading up to and during a mock hurricane.

Expert Forensic Report prepared for an insurance company defending a position that lightning did not cause a home fire. Submitted this report and defended it during an in-class cross-examination.

Weather Index Presentation created by formulating a weather index with a group of classmates to pitch to The Home Depot. My portion of the project was to create a Weather Index from meteorological and business variables provided to me. I presented my index and other findings to the class and answered follow-up questions from students and instructors posing as Home Depot clients.

Historical Weather Event paper about the Blizzard of 1996 and its impact on Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic. Research included information, data and figures about the meteorological significance of the event, synoptic setup and economic impacts to the state and region.

Climate Feature video below, produced and edited about future snowfall trends based on topics from Climate Central. Featured on Weather World, an Emmy award-winning show airing Monday through Friday on WPSU and across the Commonwealth on Pennsylvania Cable Network.

College of Earth and Mineral Sciences Living Learning Community (LLC)

Throughout my involvement with the Penn State Earth and Mineral Sciences (EMS) Living Learning Community Executive Board, I have progressively taken on leadership roles, serving as Social Chair in 2022, Community Service Chair in 2023, and elected Vice President in 2024. I collaborated with students, other organizations such as the EMS Student Council, the College of EMS benefiting THON, and faculty to facilitate connections among fellow EMS students. My leadership style prioritized flexibility, consideration of diverse opinions, and planning activities tailored to varying interests, needs, and schedules. Handling disagreements among peers taught me the importance of honest and thoughtful communication in conflict resolution.
